The mission of MNPS is to provide safe and efficient transportation to and from school for all eligible Metro students.

Recently recognized as one of the “50 Great Fleets of America,” Metro Nashville Public Schools owns and operates the 29th largest pupil transportation department in the United States.

We transport approximately 45,000 students, twice a day, on 589 buses.  In addition, we provide transportation for approximately 2400 field trips, 1100 Encore trips, and 2800 evening program trips each school year.
